How we list chiropractors
The rules every listing follows – who is listed, on which city page, how licenses are checked, and what a paid placement can and cannot change.
Who gets listed
A practice is listed when its own website names at least one chiropractor – a Doctor of Chiropractic, or DC – who works there, and shows a phone number and an office address. Franchise locations are listed when the location’s own page names a chiropractor and gives a local phone number and address. Directories and review sites can help us find names, but they never count as proof.
We leave out practices where no chiropractor is named, clinics that offer only physical therapy, massage or “decompression” with no chiropractor named, marketplaces and referral networks, practices without their own website, and any site we cannot confirm.
Which city page a practice appears on
Patients travel to a chiropractor’s office, so the office decides: a practice appears on a city page when its office is within about 25 miles (straight line) of the city center. A practice with several offices gets one listing per office, each on the page its office falls in. Mobile chiropractors who visit homes or workplaces are listed by the base city their website gives – we never publish a home address.
License checks
Every state licenses chiropractors. Where a state publishes its license records in a form we can check (in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Oklahoma and Washington so far), we checked every chiropractor named at each listed practice in October 2026. A chiropractor we could not find with an active license is left off the listing, and a practice with no confirmed chiropractor is not listed. Those listings say “License active”. Everywhere else, each listing links to the state’s official lookup so you can check yourself.
How we check
Every record is read from the practice’s own website. Details that cannot be confirmed are left blank rather than guessed. A sample of listings was checked a second time by a reviewer trying to prove each one wrong, and the errors found were fixed. We re-check every listing at least every six months, and a practice whose website is down on two checks in a row is removed.
What a listing shows
The office address, the chiropractors the practice names, its published phone number, a link to its website, and the services it mentions on its own site, shown as it describes them. We do not publish ratings, reviews, rankings, top-ten lists or claims about results, and we do not judge any technique.
Order and paid placements
Free listings are shown alphabetically, and that order is never for sale. Practices can pay for an Enhanced profile or the one City Spotlight on a city page; both are labeled. Paid placements are offered only where the practice passes the rules above. Paying never adds a city, never changes the A to Z order and never changes what we say about a practice.
No patient information
The site has no patient forms and never asks about anyone’s health. Patients contact practices directly.
Our decision
Whether a practice is listed, and on which pages, is our decision alone, made under these rules. Asking to be listed does not guarantee a listing.
Corrections and removals
Any practice can ask us to correct or remove its listing through the form for chiropractors. Removal requests are honored without questions.
